Ah the meaning behind my blog name.

Well its pretty simple really. I’ve always considered myself a huge dork. I’m also a geek. Almost all my friends say that I’m a dork, so dork is a nickname that has mostly stuck, most of my life. The dorkable part comes from being called “adorkable” (like adorable, only dork). My ex boyfriend Lars would sometimes use it, though it was more something that I used, and my current boyfriend has used it a couple of times. Its always been a word that I thought was cute. However I didn’t want to just have a domain named “dorkable”. I felt like something was missing so I started talking to my then friend Angel. With my love of everything apple, and everything Mac, she came up with idorkable. After giving it a lot of thought, I decided that I really liked the name an bought the domain.

When I first started using the domain I had a bit of a love/hate relationship with it. I loved the name and thought that it was cute, but deep down I felt like I was cheating on my first domain (beautiful-innocence). I loved beautiful-innocence, I loved the name, I just loved everything about it. So when I started to love idorkable more and more it also made me feel worse because I didn’t want to forget all the memories on B-I.

However as time as passed I realize that idorkable is really my home. Its a name that I connect with, and I’ll probably keep it for a very long time.
